The Traditional Arts Team brings you the first Birmingham Storytelling Café of the year on Wednesday 19th January. To kick start what we hope will be another successful year at the Birmingham Storytelling Café. We are pleased to welcome to Kitchen Garden Café Katrice Horsley one of the founders of Storytelling Café. Since then she has carved a swathe through the storytelling world in England and abroad. Her lively and evocative style of storytelling and her brilliance at relating to her audiences has made her a favourite at storytelling festivals and events throughout the country.

In this performance the 'soul diva' of storytelling, Katrice Horsley explores the themes of death, duty and desire through the re-working of a traditional Hungarian folk tale. Come meet the handsome Devil and the pretty Maid and behind them all, weaving and spinning their lives, Old Crow-Crone the creator of the all, inhabiter of the shadows, greeter of souls.
